๐General Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka was a Ghanaian military officer who played a pivotal role in the 1966 coup d'รฉtat that overthrew President Kwame Nkrumah. Born on October 26, 1926, in Alakple, a village in the Keta district of the Volta Region, Kotoka rose through the ranks of the Ghana Armed Forces, becoming a key figure in the National Liberation Council (NLC) that ruled Ghana after Nkrumah's removal ☢️ ๐Early Life and Education☢️ ๐Kotoka completed his basic education at the Alakple Roman Catholic School and later attended Anloga Senior School in 1941.
